I just got back from a trip to Disneyland. In Nevada and California I visited my first dispensaries. I don't know what i expected but it was anti climatic for sure. I suffer from peripheral neuropathy, a condition for which there is no cure. I've had it for many years. I am 70. I found more relief from Cannabis products that any prescribed medicines. Ironically I had to buy them from my friendly neighborhood dealer because they are still illegal here. The other irony is they are cheaper here in Utah under the table than they are from dispensaries in Nevada and California.
The main point I want to make is that we as a society must stop treating beneficial herbs like cannabis as bad or as gateway drugs that lead to worse stuff. This is a myth. The cycle is broken as soon as it goes legal. Someone who suffers from pain who wants some pot can go to the dispensary instead of seeking out dealers on the streets. The dispensaries do not have a circus-like vibe. Its just another store. I saw more older people than younger in them. Best of all, everything I bought was safe, potent and inexpensive.
I sure do hope Utah steps into the modern era and legalizes medical cannabis.
Many suffering people will benefit!
