The Salt Lake Symphonic Winds will perform a variety of arrangements, including traditional songs such as Leroy Anderson’s Christmas Festival and Sleigh Ride, while still shaking up the repertoire with other compositions such as the Russian Christmas Slavonic Folk Suite, by Alfred Reed. The audience will be treated to other numbers, including Brandt Karrick’s Sacred Suite and Ralph Hultgren’s Celebration of Life, which was composed to capture both the suffering, but also the hope that have made up the history of the Jewish people.
