The literary and life partnership of Salt Lake City’s Caralyn and Mark Buehner is a 365-daysa-year operation. But it’s around this time of year that folks start thinking about their best-known works.

Writer Caralyn and illustrator Mark have collaborated on many terrific, fanciful picture-books, including Fanny’s Dream, Goldilocks and the Three Bears and last year’s The Queen of Style. Yet it’s probably their winter-classic tandem of 2002’s Snowmen at Night and its 2005 follow-up, Snowmen at Christmas, that has most endeared them to readers. This week, the couple will be signing their work in conjunction with Hayden Peak Elementary School’s Literacy Night. Get a personalized gift for the young reader on your Christmas list—or a young-at-heart older reader, for that matter.
