Business As Usual

I spoke with an executive assistant at The Salt Lake Tribune about noon on Jan. 20. She sounded as if mine were the first call about this matter, and she laughed a bit when I told her that the thought of the Mormon church gaining control of the Tribune infuriates me [“What a Week,” Private Eye, Jan. 21, City Weekly].

She “assured” me of two things: 1. I have “nothing to worry about,” and 2. “It’s business as usual” at The Salt Lake Tribune—which I took to mean that the Mormon church will not gain controlling interest in the paper.

Time will tell.
