Harvest Menu
The Harvest Restaurant—Thanksgiving Point’s fine-dining establishment—is now serving up a new winter menu with a focus on local ingredients. Executive chef Jason Merryweather is putting his unique spin on American classics while incorporating some of the best and freshest ingredients the valley has to offer during the winter months. Starters from the new menu include a savory butternut-squash soup and seasonal salad, made with fresh apples, pomegranate seeds, buttermilk blue-cheese dressing and pecans. Appetizers feature tried-and-true favorites like French onion soup, which is now made with local Shepherds goat cheese. New entree selections include butternut-squash ravioli, made with roasted butternut squash, toasted pecans and fresh sage cream. For dessert, you won’t want to miss the decadent pumpkin bread pudding with caramel sauce and house-made vanilla-bean ice cream. For reservations, call 801-768-4990 or visit ThanksgivingPoint.org.

Specialties include lasagna, manicotti, cannelloni and ravioli. For reservations or phone orders, call 801-277-6006. Visit online at ViscontiHouse.com.

Quote of the week: My rule of life prescribed as an absolutely sacred rite smoking cigars and also the drinking of alcohol before, after, and if need be during all meals and in the interval between them. —Winston Churchill
