Arctic Nights

Given all the kids’ stuffed plush penguins, polar bears, walruses and other arctic creatures at any given toy store, it’s fair to say the cuteness charm of these animals is undeniable.

Adorableness aside, how are these rugged creatures adapted to survive in the extremely frigid climate and harsh conditions of the North Pole?

You and your kids can learn about the animals of the extreme north at the educational program Arctic Nights at the Living Planet Aquarium. Arctic Nights is the conception of the aquarium’s education outreach department. This team is also responsible for traveling to Utah schools to teach the next generation about the Earth’s ecosystems and humans’ part in the world.

Budding biologists and zoologists will appreciate this polar experience that makes science learning fun, with hands-on activities, stories, games and prizes. As a bonus, Arctic Nights is free with aquarium admission. Score.
