Re: “No Country For Bikers

It looks and sounds like to me nothing has changed over the years. The patch holders still getting the worst end of the deal when it comes to the law. But it isn't just clubs like the Barons, or the Sundowner's that are being harassed by the law or effected by the laws people like Ray are wanting to put in place. A lot of what was said at the end of this article is true. Bikers have changed and evolved, it is society who doesn't want us to change. I used to be a member of the ABATE Northern Utah Chapter, and the MRF. Motorcycle Riders Foundation. Those two organizations do a lot for bikers in Utah. What the television shows, and people like Critser make us out to be is about as far from the truth as you can get. I have partied with Sundowner's, Angels, etc etc. It is a good time. They are also some good people. It is a shame that society as a whole continues to see them as the outlaw biker gangs from the 1960's. Or see any biker today as those from the 1960's. As long as guys like Ray and Critser continue falsely making us out to be like that to society I am afraid that society as a whole will continue to see us like that. I keep hoping one day it wont be like that, and there is nothing wrong with hoping. Keep your faces in the wind bros.
