I agree that this article is very well written. Perhaps the people who work in that building on a nearly daily basis have reasons to appreciate it. But if I were to judge this building based solely on its exterior, I'd think it was an industrial fortress--perhaps the home of a tech company where the employees would be required to have a "top secret" government security clearance, and casual visitors would be discouraged by biometric scanners and armed guards. I've gone past it several times a week since its completion; if I hadn't noticed any of its subtleties, perhaps it's because I don't exactly feel invited to give it closer scrutiny.
