Re: “Healthcare Rodeo

Gov. Gary and the Legislature of Jebus Crust of Later Day Aints 'know' better than Utah voters SO, it's on to voter initiative rewrite. The Apostle Stuart Adams, anointed profit of Utah's Senate, reminds Utah voters that "Utah is not a democracy but IS a republic." So for Utah's voters, you can suck it! Tyranny is Utah's rule of law and there's not a damn thing that any Utahn can do about it.

Re: “Utah's Legislators: Gone Rogue

Legislators to be dipped in hot tar, feathered, tied to railroad ties, and then run out of town? Seems fair and not quite as harsh as public hanging. However, public hanging of State Legislators should be an option left on the old discussion table. :}

Re: “Romney’s Room

It is an amazing performance to behold. Mittens being Mittens. Wishy-washy and taking a 'no-spine here' approach to America's problems with politicians. Pelosi and Trump are locked in a not ready for primetime pissing match and Rmoney blames Pelosi and Trump. Gosh, that must have been a really hard conclusion to draw. Trump allowed the government to shut down and went on the very public record to own it. Mitt will of course withhold judgment until Jumping B. Jesus returns to this island Earth and hands him (Mittens Romney) the keys to Kolob. However, Mitt is easier to listen to and watch than Mikey Lee.

Re: “The New American

'Sticking It to the Poor'...OR...Repuglicans help those that help themselves. Which by the way brings to mind the irrational notion that "voter initiatives" actually work. The VI premise is merely suggestive and any resemblance to the will of the people is summarily transcended and reworked by Utah's 'all-knowing' and vastly superior Legislature.
Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups. Or legislatures.

Re: “Hobbitville's Last Days

Allen Park will likely end up like the old Sugarhouse, raped and ruined. What used to be Sugarhouse proper is an ugly, traffic snarled nightmare. Redman's is gone, Harman's restaurant is gone, eleventh east is an overdeveloped mess, and what has arisen around the old J.C. Penney store are multi-level monstrosities. I can remember when Sugarhouse was THE place to hang out. Oh yeah, those were the days. One can't drive 21st South for the congestion. It is a pity that old Salt Lake has fallen prey to the greedy and shortsighted. Money does make the old world fall down. For re-development of course.
