Re: “Broken Wings

I can sympathize with Mr. Coots. I work in a flight that’s been described to me as having the most corrupt and unethical managers at Hill, by the people that work there.

Unskilled/uneducated/unqualified family members and friends are quickly/quietly promoted over those with years of experience.
A sexual harassment victim will be moved/marked, while the abuser is promoted. Leadership is either, deaf, dumb, blind or indifferent to the complaints filed with EEO or the IG. People have lost faith in these groups. I’ve seen managers harass, intimidate and threaten coworkers while upper management turns a blind eye.

I’m sure there are good units at Hill that provide safe, supportive, and comfortable workcenters and accomplish alot of great work. Its the poorly micromanaged groups that give Hill a bad name. Treating people as disposable assets. I've seen managers laugh about being able to get rid of someone so they can replace them with a younger cutie.

Hill once shipped nuclear fuses to Taiwan. It was a small thing with large implications. Bad managers/supervisors are the main complaint at Hill, but leadership has always considered it a small problem. I wish Mr. Coots the best.
