Re: “Provo Music Primer

I'll 2nd Scott by saying that there is a troll having fun with these comments. Stuart and I are on tour and didn't hear about this article until TM&TF called us to ask about the comments. Yes, we are friends with all these bands and have each other's numbers, therefore wouldn't need to use an online comment section to talk to each other ;) Much love from (the) Fictionist

Re: “Provo Music Primer

I hope everyone here is aware that for the most part these comments aren't actually by the person whose name is listed. Also, tell me more about the Provo music scene

Re: “Driving Force

Quiet Oaks are incredible. Flawless live, and some of the most passionate, and talented musicians around. Excited to see what their future holds!

Re: “Best of Utah Music 2016

glad to see Tony HOliday and Jordan Young getting respect. they got me started on touring and i've been doing it ever since! they very much deserve it. Canyons as runner up in folk is awesome! folk hogan always rocks. glad to see Granary Row for best comeback! I booked all the music last year!

Re: “Provo Music Primer

This opinion piece has, so far, entirely missed the mark. Asking the wrong questions, and turning a truly amazing story into something as common and uninspiring as this is a shame. The writers tone is so unimpressed and negative. Luckily the headline is boring enough that most people wont read it.

P.s. You'd think the Velour, Corey Fox, Desert Noises and the Rooftop Concert Series would be worthy of a mention in an article about the Provo Music Scene...

Re: “Provo Music Primer

How can you even begin to talk about the Provo music scene without talking about The Velour or Corey Fox at length? He's single handedly the biggest part of curating the scene.

Re: “Rush

I've been a Rush fan since 1976 I own every single album every single DVD right up to and including R40. They have been an integral an important part of my whole life and I see them whenever and wherever I can. And I'm really looking forward to tonight

yeah, it's a little strange when I have to go online to see what "I" said. Troll reveal yourself! There must be something better to do then pretend to be me online :)

Re: “Provo Music Primer

I think Timmy's got the right idea here. Brandon's a great guy and an amazing musician, and I'm happy to have been able to support him in any way I can. A lot of people get the name of Velour wrong - in fact I originally thought about calling it "the Velour" when I first opened up - it's not a big deal. What is a big deal is people in the scene turning on each other. We're all in this together. Great show at Rooftop by the way, Brandon. I'm loving the new single.

Re: “Provo Music Primer

Brandon, I don't know if you've ever been there, but the venue is called "Velour" not "the Velour".

Re: “Rush

I truly appreciate your article, but not even the casual RUSH fan would not open a CD and listen to it

Re: “Best of Utah Music 2016

While I can appreciate the local talent acknowledgement, where's the love for the classical side of the best of Utah music? SO much talent here in the area!

Re: “Where's the Utah Metal?

This article was the the least-researched, horribly written, blindly ingnorant piece of shit regarding anything that is actually having anything to do with Utah\'s \'metal scene\'. Maybe the author should have considered actually attending an \'Utah Metal\' show before writing these untruths and pure uneducated garbage. Maybe DJ Summers should Google tips on conducting research before publicly making such an utter ass of himself and a scene he obviously knows nothing about.
