Eve's failed disco ball is a great example of how not to do a Kickstarter

Council likely to still give $25K for "clean-air celebration"
On Saturday afternoon, the Downtown Alliance-led Kickstarter campaign for the "US's largest disco ball" sputtered to a close about $11,000 shy of its $25,000 goal. The enormous 20-foot-diameter mirrored ball was meant to be a clean-air replacement for the traditional fireworks at the annual Eve celebration, but unfortunately, it's now more of a lesson for how not to execute a Kickstarter campaign.

Taiwanese Animators create delightful animated clip of Kaelin Clay fumble

The University of Utah has a long history of premature celebrations, but none of them have then been animated to show players drinking Champagne on the field, dancing with bikini-clad ladies and riding horse-sized ducks. But thanks to Taiwanese Animators, the geniuses behind absurd CGI renditions of national news stories, we now have this important piece of Utah history immortalized for future generations.

Salt Lake City has a new nickname and it sucks...it sucks sooo bad

Coming up with a good nickname is hard work, and since Steamboat Ski Resort in Colorado already owns the rights to "Ski Town, USA," what other nickname could Visit Salt Lake possibly come up with other than "Ski City USA"? Yep, that's actually Salt Lake City's new nickname, "Ski City USA," which makes it sound like the entire population of SLC is working at a discount sporting goods store.
