You think that a single print issue of City Weekly can  contain all the things you can do in  a Utah week? Foolish mortals! It's time to go ... beyond Essentials.

Local author Kyra Leigh presents her debut young-adult novel Reaper—a supernatural fantasy about a recently-deceased 16-year-old required to harvest souls for the Grim Reaper—Tuesday, Aug. 22, 7 p.m. at the King's English Bookshop (1511 S. 1500 East, 801-484-9100).

Utah Film Center presents the 2017 documentary Street Fighting Men—the story of three African-American men trying to pursue the American Dream in contemporary Detroit—at Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center (138 W. 300 South), Monday, Aug. 21 at 7 p.m. Doug Fabrizio will host a post-screening Q&A with the film's director, Andrew James. Admission is free

The Utah Summer Dance Festival makes its annual stop at the Viridian Center (8030 S. 1825 West) for a day of performances, workshops and vendors celebrating the art of dance. The event takes place from 11 a.m. - 9 p.m., and admission is free.

Local comedy favorite Alex Velluto headlines at Wiseguys Comedy Club at the Gateway (194 S. 400 West, 801-532-5233). Showtime is 7:30 p.m., and tickets are only $5.
