This weekend, we've got three shows, two of them tonight, and we'll start at Area 51 with the latest from Tera Vega. This is a five-piece soul metal band based out of SLC, having played around locally for over four years. The music is pretty cool: kind of a kick in the ass, kind of a music to sway to at times, but still metal. The first of two albums they're releasing this year will be unleashed to the public tonight, this one called Us And Them Vol. 1. You can snag a copy of the album at the show as they play with Adjacent To Nothing, Aether and Late Night Fever opening. Tickets are $10 and the doors open at 8 p.m.

Meanwhile, down in Utah County, we'll see the debut album from Vitaé.  This five-piece pop punk band based out of Orem has been around for a couple years; I've had the chance to see them live a few times, and they're rad dudes. Their debut self-titled EP will be released this weekend at Muse Music, with Problem Daughter, Wearing Thin and Bird Watcher  opening. Tickets for this show are $10, and the doors open at 8 p.m.

While we're at Muse Music, out last show is scheduled for Saturday, as we see the latest from Batty Blue. This awesome four-piece new wave band out of Provo is one of the bigger members of the Dirty Promo movement that's been happening the past few years; they've  even released a couple albums with them. Tomorrow, they'll be putting out a cassette of songs, including their latest single "Hedon" featuring Baby Ghosts, all leading to their new album coming in August (which we'll discuss closer to that date). They'll be playing with  Pipes and GABI opening.
