Hello to all you joint-lubing, leg-stretching, water-holding, cheer-inducing, 2k-efforting, can't-wait-to-watch-a-bunch-of-running-family-members enthusiasts! As you're reading this, the Salt Lake City Marathon is probably happening, or already happened, whichever suits you best. To 8 percent of the valley it's a big deal, to 5 percent it's a giant traffic hassle, and to the other 87 percent of us ... There was a marathon? If you happen to live downtown like me, it feels as if a giant lasso has been thrown around the city, as running guards keep invaders out for a few hours—which is a great feeling until it stops and you realize it meant nothing, just like real wars. Before we get to two weeks worth of awesome events, check out these flowers from Art 270 that are on display from this month's Gallery Stroll.
