Hello to all you green-wearing, shamrock-plucking, beer-swilling, parade-watching, bagpipe-blowing, need-to-dust-off-the-kilt enthusiasts! We're one week out from the annual St. Patrick's Day Parade, which of course City Weekly (and myself) will be marching along in. If you happen to have a little something-something on you when you see me, please help out an Irishman find his spirits. But while the parade is a fantastic occasion, it has to be on the minds of many that we'll be passing near the spot where a 17-year-old was shot by the cops, during an event where the police will be in heavy presence. In any case, the event is sure to bring out thousands and we hope you can join us on March 12.
