Since The CW canceled just two shows (Hart of Dixie and The Messengers) in their current lineup, they apparently only have room for these three new series:
DC’s Legends of Tomorrow
The CW says: “Time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter must assemble a disparate group of both heroes and villains to confront an unstoppable threat to the planet … and to time itself.” The Atom, Captain Cold, Heatwave and various other characters previously seen on Arrow and The Flash team up in this sorta-spin-off, as well as The Heroine Formerly Known as Black Canary, White Canary, and the aforementioned “time-traveling rogue” Rip Hunter(!). Oh, you can stave off that superhero burnout until 2016.
Crazy Ex-Girlfriend
The CW says: “Rachel Bloom is Rebecca Bunch, a successful driven, and possibly crazy young woman who impulsively gives up everything in a desperate attempt to find love and happiness … in suburban West Covina, CA.” A musical-comedy originally produced for … Showtime? Remember: Jane the Virgin seemed like a bizarre idea once, too.
Containment
The CW says: “When a mysterious and deadly epidemic breaks out in Atlanta, a vast urban quarantine is quickly enforced, forcing those stuck on the inside to fight for their lives.” Meh. The only disturbing part of this trailer is former Farscape/Stargate SG-1 star Claudia Black as a blonde.
