An elaborate broad-daylight heist netted two Polynesian suspects an undisclosed amount of cash and "several drones," according to the Salt Lake City Police Department.
The robbery of Digital Toyz at 1780 S. Redwood went down at roughly 8:13 a.m. on Friday, March 6, when store employees noticed two Polynesian men dressed in Rocky Mountain Power overalls supposedly working on a power box outside of the store.
Disguised as utility workers one of the men was able to convince a store employee to let him and his accomplice inside and then brandishing a "dark colored handgun" robbed the business and its employees of cash and also took a few drones on their way out. The victims were herded into a bathroom before the men fled the scene.
At this time police have no description of any vehicle that might have been on the scene but say the suspects are described as two adult Polynesian males both six feet and around 220 pounds, last seen wearing beanie caps and overalls.
