This year's Best of Utah Music showcases continued Wednesday night with a second DJ spin-off at The Urban Lounge, where DJ Feral Cat, DJ Bentley, DJ Luva Luva, J Godina and Shields all arrived ready to show the crowd and judges what they're made of. Check out some of the highlights from the night below.

DJ Feral Cat

It was really cool to watch DJ Feral Cat at work. He spun an all-vinyl set of deep funk cuts and vintage soul 45s by hand, showing off an impressive knowledge of the genres and a passion for the music.

DJ Bentley

DJ Bentley threw down a hip-hop-heavy set that deftly blended nostalgic '80s/'90s stuff (Montell Jordan, David Bowie and the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air theme) with modern bangers (Big Freedia), all while showing off some crazy scratching skills.

DJ Luva Luva

DJ Luva Luva's set was all over the map genre-wise, and the crowd really got into his selections, cheering as he switched to a new song. Everything from Bone Thugs and Gwen Stefani to Green Day and Nirvana was fair game and given the Luva treatment.

J Godina

J Godina's set was a stunner, and a highlight of the night. Dealing only in vinyl of course, Godina took his set full circle by beginning and ending with Wu-Tang Clan and filled the middle with a dynamic mix of new (Usher) and old (Guns N' Roses, David Bowie). His sneaky transitions really stood out; insanely smooth and deeply folded, they'd slowly introduce a new song before you knew what was happening.

Shields

Shields' set was the most EDM-heavy of the night, but he successfully mixed that electro with a diverse mix of tracks: War's "Low Rider," The Champs' "Tequila" and more. And that bass-heavy combination got the strongest audience reaction of the night and had girls even dancing onstage.
