Learn all about mathcore at tonight's Seizures show

Dear GYA, Some will argue that mathcore's roots can be traced back to metalcore, which is true to some extent. However, for me, *brushes bangs away from face* the sub-genre has more in common with unusual time signatures of grindcore. You know, I met this kid once who called Dillinger Escape Plan a mixture of prog-rock and hardcore. Haha, OK dude. Any legit mathcore bands playing tonight? - Brolin Gurst, Salt Lake City
Brolin, I have no God damn clue what you're even talking about. But yes, there is some math-related rock happening tonight:
California-based mathcore band Seizures will be at Kilby Court tonight. Curseworship and Fever Dreams are also on the bill. The show starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $8.
A few other options for this evening:
EDM DJ and producer Mimosa will be at Urban Lounge. Swindle will open things up. The show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets start at $10.
Geeks Who Drink pub trivia will be going down at Gracie's. The quizzin' starts at 6:30 p.m. Admission is free.
