Dear GYA, I love fall and I feel like every death metal fan should love fall too. When you think about it, nothing is more brutal than stepping on thousands of leaf corpses that have been savagely decapitated from trees. Sometimes, I like to pick up a single golden leaf and become overwhelmed with the harsh reality that its skeleton has changed colors because of the merciless grip of decomposition. Also, fall is fun because of the cozy sweaters and pumpkin patches. - Lars Gormf, Salt Lake City

Lars, nature is definitely brutal and nothing beats the combo of death metal and autumn. When you're done enjoying fall's splendor, you should probably check out this death metal show at Burt's tonight:

A few other options for tonight:

New-wave singer The Ready Set will be at In The Venue. Metro Station, The Downtown Fiction and Against the Current are also performing. The show starts at 6 p.m. Tickets are $22.

City Weekly, True TV and Brewvies will be showing the final season of Sons of Anarchy tonight for free on the big screen! The show starts at 8 p.m.
