Jim Santangelo, owner of The Wine Academy of Utah, has been selected to participate in the Napa Valley Vintners Ambassador program to coordinate and provide various wine tasting events in Utah. These events will include consumer socials, wine dinners and educational seminars for both hospitality professionals and wine enthusiasts to promote the Napa Valley wine growing region.

Two events are scheduled this summer and fall. The Leonardo Museum will host a “Tasting Tour of Napa Valley” food and wine social on Sunday, August 24 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The BTG Wine Bar will host a “Taking over the Taps”— a ten-day event during the month of September that will feature a variety of wines from Napa Valley. The last evening features a four-course meal paired with eight Napa Valley wines.

When Michael Cooperman, Education Marketing Manager of Napa Valley Vintners, was asked about selecting the Wine Academy of Utah for the Ambassadorship program, he stated, “We feel that the owner of the Wine Academy, Jim Santangelo, brings the right amount of enthusiasm and dedication to wine education that would extend our mission to promote and enhance the Napa Valley appellation.”
