Dear GYA, In light of recent complaints by a handful of citizens, I'm stepping up enforcement of Salt Lake City's off-leash laws. I think it goes without saying that house pets that are let outside should be on leash... except for cats. People can let their cats out and do whatever they want. Isn't that right Noodles? Oh yes, it is! Who's a good little kitty that likes to go outside? You are! *giggles uncontrollably* Mew mew mew mew mew mew. Anything happening today that's as cute and snuggley as a cat? - Mayor Ralph Becker---

Mayor Becker, there's only a small handful of parks in the city that allow dogs off leash, perhaps rezoning a few of the less-used parks would be a more productive step in the right direction. Here's what's happening tonight:

Alabama-based singer/songwriter Jason Isbell will be at Red Butte Garden tonight at 7 p.m. The Long Bellow will open up. Tickets start at $30.

The Salt Lake Bees will be taking on the Memphis Redbirds tonight at 7 p.m. Tickets start at $10.

Extreme metal band Villains will be at Metro Bar this evening. Dark Sermon and Widow are also on the bill. The show starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $5.
