Glad You Asked: Appleseed Cast, Pistons & Emmure

Dear GYA, You know, I'm really glad that Pharrell is "Happy" and all that, but do we have to have this song jammed in our ears all day, every day? I would be happy to if I was rich as hell, got to hang out with Daft Punk and got to wear old-timey, super-fedoras to work. Anything happening today that doesn't involve Phrarrell being happy? - Guy Derrlime, Rose Park---
Guy, It's a well known fact that money and the access to regularly mingle with celebrities, automatically makes you happy. Here's what's for today:
Kansas-based indie-band The Appleseed Cast will be at Urban Lounge this evening. The Great Interstate and Strong Words are also on the bill. The show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $12.
Deathcore band Emmure will be on stage at In The Venue tonight. Volumes, Thy Art Is Murder, Gideon and Sworn In are also performing. The show starts at 6 p.m. Tickets are $20.
The Utah Jazz are taking on the Detroit Pistons tonight at EnergySolutions. Tip-off is at 7 p.m. Tickets start at $7.75.
