Dear GYA, So, today is Pie Day, which means we need to lay out some ground rules. First off, Pizza should not be included in any of the Pie Day festivities, it has it's own day--November 12. Rhubarb is a shrub that has no place in pies. Bean pies are a sick punishment. Pecan pies have nuts for some reason, so they're out. And, French silk pies are blatantly un-American. Basically all that leaves is apple pie. Enjoy. Anything happening this weekend better than pie? - Linda Waserbly, Rose Park---
