Dear GYA, If you haven't noticed, the Coachella line-up was announced last night and it seems pretty great. However, I don't understand why anyone would drive all the way to Indio, Calif,. when you can see the dudes from Foster The People working at the City Creek Starbucks. Anyway, anything happening today better than re-reading the Coachella lineup? - Frank Quatter, The Avenues---

Frank, It's crazy you mention that because I'm pretty sure the dude from Sugar Ray works at the Chevron on 13th East and 21st South. Here's what's up for today:

Legendary Bay Area rapper Planet Asia will be at Urban Lounge this evening. The Bayliens, Zman and Black Lion are also on the bill. The show starts at 8. Tickets are $12.

Talking Heads tribute band Naive Melodies will be at The State Room this evening. No Nation Orchestra is also performing. The show starts at 8. Tickets are $12.

Roots of Arcatia will be onstage at Kilby Court. Andrew Macuire's Art Project and Strong Words will also be there. Doors are at 7 p.m. Tickets are $6.
