Dear GYA, According to Google's end-of-the-year list, Kohl's was the number-one-searched retailer of 2013. On the surface, this may seem strange. But it should come as no surprise that more and more people are switching from the U.S. dollar to the more substantial Kohl's Cash.--- Shoot, I just picked up a new pair of Mitre soccer cleats for $30; Kohl's cash is amazing. Anything happening today that accepts Kohl's cash? - Blake Whipher, Sandy

Blake, Like Bitcoin, you should definitely buy now when it comes to Kohl's cash -- the savings alone are worth it. Here are a few thrifty things going down tonight:

Nightfreq DJs Guapfather and Bello will be throwing down at Johnny's On Second tonight. There's no cover. The music starts at 9.

Grammy-nominated singer Will Hoge will be onstage at The State Room this evening. Red Wanting Blue is also on the bill. Tickets are $13. The show starts at 8.

Dear Rabbit will be performing at The Shred Shed. Aaron Walcott and Joey Brandon will warm it up. The show starts at 6: 30 p.m. Tickets are $7.
