A public meeting in Salt Lake City is being hosted so Utahns can talk about the water future and what policies will keep our great desert state from drying up in the next 10 to 20 years.---

Gov. Gary Herbert is asking Utahns to manifest their water destiny at a variety of public meetings, one of which will be held in Salt Lake City the evening of Tuesday, Aug. 13. The forum is looking for input on water policies ranging from agricultural to protecting local rivers and lakes to providing water for future generations.

Local advocates of groups like HEAL Utah are also asking Utahns concerned about water-sucking mega projects like the controversial Lake Powell pipeline proposal and the Green River reactors to also show up and speak out. No matter your view, don't miss this opportunity to have your voice be heard on the future of your water.

Check it out, at the Department of Natural Resources, 1594 W. North Temple, Salt Lake City, 7 p.m.-9 p.m. For more info, visit here, where you can also submit comments electronically.
