Dear GYA, Over the weekend, I had my doubts, but somehow I was able to summon all my strength, conquer my body's urge to go outside, and believe me as I say this now, I have accomplished what some deemed impossible -- I successfully watched every new episode of Arrested Development.--- Now what the hell am I supposed to do? - James Yachtwater, Sandy

James, Well, it is Memorial Day, so you could pay some respect to the American soldiers who died at war. Just a thought. When you're done with that, here are a few more options:

The three-piece indie band Akron/Family will be at Urban Lounge this evening. Avi Buffalo and M Geddes Gengras will open. The show starts at 9 p.m. Tickets are $12.

At the Hale Center Theater in Orem, check out the post-apocalyptic comedy Urinetown. Tickets are $16 to $20. The show starts at 7:30 p.m.

Weller Book Works is hosting the Salt Lake Poetry Slam. Click here for more info. The competition starts at 8 p.m.
