Salt Lake City's Bambara restaurant, located in the Hotel Monaco, will celebrate Earth Week next week by donating to The Nature Conservancy. --- Bambara's Executive Chef Nathan Powers will donate $1 from every $13 "Powers' Lunch" from April 22-26 to The Nature Conservancy. Lunch specials include a choice or soup or organic greens and either Powers' turkey wrap, beef hamburger, or daily special, and includes a gooey turtle cookie for dessert.
"We like to offer our guests a tasty way to help protect the Earth's natural resources and beauty," said Powers. "We supply the delicious lunch and you give back to the community by indulging a little. It's a win-win."
In addition, "Green Teams" from Bambara and the Hotel Monaco will volunteer on Sunday, April 21, to help spruce up the Railyard Community Art Garden, and will collect unwanted recyclable electronics through the "Recycle Round-Up" held April 22-26 in the Monaco Hotel lobby. The Green Teams will be on hand daily to accept and properly dispose of old phones, printers, cell phones, MP3 players, small electronics, desktop towers, laptops and such.
