The Salt Lake City Police Department is pleased with its Coffee With a Cop program, which continues Thursday between 7 and 9 a.m. at the Beans & Brews by Liberty Park.---

According to a press release, the monthly public outreach, which has been running now since last fall, has resulted in two arrests.

This followed complaints to an officer about suspicious behavior in one of the neighborhoods. "After a follow-up investigation, officers made two arrests that effectively dismantled a burglary ring that had been breaking into homes, sheds and garages in the Rose Park area,"  according to the SLCPD press release.

This month's "get together" with law enforcement, which falls on the fourth Thursday of every month, is at Beans & Brews on 906 S. and 500 East. Residents can talk to Community Intelligence Officers about crime trends and public-safety issues.
