Wednesday evening, March 7, from 6 to 8, Finca restaurant will host a unique tasting of Navarra wines from Spain. ---
The wines are produced by Bodegas y Vinedos Alzania, and winemaker/owner Jose Manuel will be in attendance. In 2010, Finca owner Scott Evans visited the Alzania winery in Spain and met Jose Manuel and his family. According to Evans, "He is meticulous, precise, and driven to produce world-class wine, as well as everyday wines."
The small Alzania winery produces only about 4,000 cases per year. We're lucky to have three Alzania wines available here in Utah, at reasonable prices. In addition to those, Evans has special ordered Manuel's top two wines to share with attendees of the Finca Navarra tasting.
The Alzania wines being poured at Wednesday's event will be Bolanda 2010, Alzania Blanco 2011, Gardacho 2009, Finca la Moneda 2004, and 21 del 10 2005. In addition, tapas will be served.
The cost for the Navarra wine tasting at Finca is $25 for the tapas and $35 for the wine pairings, plus tax & gratuity.
