Dear GYA, Anybody know what's up with Steve Perry? I heard the guy has a pile of unrecorded Journey songs just collecting dust in his basement. Come on, Steve, hook us up. I mean, seriously, what do I gotta do to get some fresh Journey material around here? I know I shouldn't stop believing, but this is getting ridiculous. Anything to do today while I wait for Steve Perry to get off his ass? - Dave Mantus, Millcreek---

Dave, You have to be considerate of Steve Perry's needs; he's probably tapped out. Do you have any idea how much groupie love he had to bench press in the '80s? I'm surprised he's even written a single verse over the past 20 years. Anyway, here are some options for today:

Actor, comedian and '90s celebrity, Pauly Shore will be on the mic at Wiseguys Trolley Square. How could you forget his classic roles in films like Encino Man, Son-In-Law, and In The Army Now.? Doors open at 7 p.m. This event is for ages 18 and over. Tickets are $25.

Tommy Lee (you know, that guy who drives the boat in the Pamela Anderson sex tape) will be DJing at Star Bar tonight. Lately, it seems Tommy Lee has been partying with the EDM crowd and has found a new love in the electro-house genre. Word has it he used to be in a band, too. DJ Aero will be opening things up. The show starts at 10. Tickets are $50.

For some dubstep sounds, check out Dubvirus, Crisis and Steezo at the Urban Lounge. Presented by the Re Up Series, DJ and producer Dubvirus is a glitch-heavy crunkstep DJ hailing from San Francisco and has all manner of remixes up his sleeve. DJs Crisis and Steez will warm up the crowd. The show starts at 9 p.m.
