Dear GYA, I heard Hugh Hefner fell in love and got married a couple of days ago. As much as I understand that a marriage like this is a complete joke, you have to tip your hat to the old pervert. I mean, after years of tweaking a delicate mixture of blonde hair, pearly veneers and various cup sizes, it appears Dr. Hef has finally concocted a marriage-worthy combination of gold-digging arm-poon.--- Bravo, you old bastard. Anything happening tonight where I can find my own gold digger? - Mark Ghurshinturk, Cottonwood Heights

Mark, Emulating Hef is more than just wearing robes and saying weird crap on reality TV. The first thing you have to do is become a publishing mogul. That's the easy part. Then, you have to figure out a way to not only become immortal but have the courage to not call a doctor when you have an erection that lasts for more than four hours. If this seems like something you're into, then get yourself that gold digger. To get you started on your quest, here are some options for this evening:

The Beachmen are headlining a smattering of local indie bands at Urban Lounge tonight. The Beachmen are a local three-piece that craft a sound reminiscent of Chromatics and M83. They'll be backed by the experimental sounds of Spirit Master, avant-garde one-man show Giraffula and Koala Temple. The doors open at 9.

The Snowbird Adventure Speaker Series will be presenting backcountry guru Bruce Tremper at the Wildflower Restaurant and Lounge. Tremper has been the director of the Utah Avalanche Center since 1986 and the author of Staying Alive in Avalanche Terrain. The lecture begins at 6 p.m.

Stand-up comedian Cash Levy will be on the mic at Wiseguy's Trolley Square. You’re probably familiar with seeing him act as a regular performer on CBS' The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, ABC’s Comics Unleashed with Byron Allen and also Comedy Central’s Premium Blend

A few more options for tonight:

- Salt Lake Roasting Company will have a Open Mic tonight at 8.

- Burt's Tiki Lounge will be hosting local bands Minx, Red Bennies and the David Williams Quartet. Doors open at 9.

- Bluesman Jordan Young will be at Hog Wallow Pub, beginning at 9.
