What’s new on the telethingy tonight:

Syfy 20th Anniversary Special (Syfy) It used to be the Sci-Fi Channel, and it used to show a hell of a lot more science fiction—but I’m not getting into a futile “Why doesn’t MTV show music videos anymore?” clusterfuck, no way. ---Battlestar Galactica, Mystery Science Theater 3000, various Stargates and Farscapes, and, of course, wrestling are sure to be represented, as well as questionable crapola like Ghost Hunters and Scare Tactics, but will there be any love for early-2000s jigglefest Black Scorpion, or the even-worse reboot of Flash Gordon? Bring on the Sharktopus musical montage!

Take It All (NBC) Series Debut: Howie Mandel hosts Yankee Swap: The Game Show; America watches enthralled. Seriously/sadly—this will be a hit. And it's on all damned week.

Also new tonight:
Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, Castle (ABC); How I Met Your Mother, 2 Broke Girls, Hawaii Five-O (CBS); The Voice, Michael Buble Christmas (NBC); Bones, The Mob Doctor (Fox); 90210 (The CW); The Next Great Baker, Cake Boss (TLC); Hoarders, Intervention (A&E); Top Gear (BBC America); The Layover With Anthony Bourdain (Travel); American Pickers, Pawn Stars (History); Teen Mom 2, Catfish (MTV); WWE Monday Night Raw (USA); Mel Brooks Strikes Back (HBO)
