Glad You Asked: Twins of Evil Tour, Owl City and Michael Kiwanuk

Dear GYA, It sure was a relief to get all that baggage off my chest on 60 Minutes the other night. Phew, I feel way better now. I mean, you have no idea how hard it was to not tell Maria that I literally had a baby in the movie Junior. Well, now that that I have that off my chest, anything good happening tonight? -Arnold Schwarzenegger---
Arnold, I knew it. I've always suspected that Junior was more of a video diary than a movie. Anyway, here's what's up tonight:
Everyone's favorite hell raisers, Marilyn Manson and Rob Zombie, will be onstage at Usana Amphitheater. Part of the Twins of Evil Tour, expect ghoulish imagery, hellish debauchery and a full-on assault of the senses. The show starts at 7 p.m.
On the complete opposite side of the spectrum, check out Owl City at the Depot. Led by singer and songwriter Adam Young, Owl City started as a electronica experiment in the early 2000s in Young's basement and eventually led to a record deal with Universal Republic. In a way, he's one of the first viral music sensations. The show starts at 7:30 p.m.
Anglo-Ugandan singer-songwriter Michael Kiwanuka will be onstage at the State Room. His debut, Home Again, landed him the coveted BBC Sound of 2012 prize for best emerging artist and a Mercury Award nomination. Nathaniel Rateliff and Yuna will be opening things up. The show starts at 8 p.m.
Other worthwhile events:
- The Catholic Community Services Festival will be kicking off at Black Island Farms at 4 p.m.
- The Covey Center for The Arts will be hosting the Wasatch Pipe Band at 7:30 p.m.
- Indie band The Heligoats will be performing at Urban Lounge, starting at 9 p.m.
