Dear GYA, Aaaaaarrrgh!!! Damnit, I just realized yesterday was National Speak Like A Pirate Day -- I can't believe it's my favorite holiday, too. Is there any place in SLC where it's still acceptable to talk like a pirate? - James Blackenedstache, Grantsville

James, who cares about "society's rules?" As far as I'm concerned, everyday is talk-like-a-pirate day. Here are a few places where it might be alright to get your "aaargh" on:

Golden Braid Books will be hosting a Psychic Fair this evening. Five talented psychics available for readings include Ross Gigliotti, Adam Sagers, Barbara Ljord and Shawn Lerwill. Reservations are recommended. The fair starts at 6 p.m.

EnergySolutions Arena will be the site of the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey joint production, Dragons. In celebration of the Year of the Dragon, the two biggest circus acts in the world are joining forces to bring you one massive show. Tickets start at $18. The show starts at 11:30 a.m.

The Salt Lake City Film Festival will be kicking off today. With 17 feature narrative and documentary films—plus shorts—screening over four days, this is a great opportunity to not only support indie filmmakers but also see some create art. Click here for more info.

Other worthwhile events:

- The Jealous Sound will be at Kilby Court, starting at 7 p.m.

- Visual artist Thomas Aaron's installment LAND/GAZE will be at Nox Contemporary all day today.

- Check out Salt Lake Acting Company's production of Love, Loss, and What I Wore.
