Dear GYA, Unfortunately my wife was in possession of the remote the other night and I was forced to watch The X-Factor. This would have been fine, I guess, but I spent the entire evening dry heaving in a trash can after seeing Simon Cowell's chest hair. How the hell does it travel through the TV and into your mouth? Well, now that I finally have my strength back, anything good happening this weekend? - Kurt Wrestle, Sandy---

Kurt, Simon Cowell's chest hair sees no bounds. It would be nice if the network would figure out a way to censor his v-necks, but I don't think they have the power. Here's what's good this weekend...

Let's start with Friday:

- The Natural History Museum will be throwing the Explore The Trails Festival, starting at 10 a.m.

- At 10 p.m., SLUG Localized will be hosting Settle Down, Cornered By Zombies and Gunner at Urban Lounge.

- For something completely different, check out the Strangling Brothers Big Top Tent of Horrors and Haunted Trailers at 7:30 p.m.

As for Saturday's to-dos

- Bar Deluxe will be the site of the Back To School Burlesque Show tonight at 10 p.m.

- For some exciting casbah dancing, check out Shimmies and Shakes at Sugar Space at 8 p.m.

- In college-football news that you already know, the University of Utah Utes will be facing off with the BYU Cougars tonight at 8:15 p.m.

- Pioneer Park will once again be the site of the Downtown Farmers Market, starting up at 8 a.m.

- Red Rock Rondo will be hosting a CD-release party for their newest effort, Live at the Symphony: A Secret Gift, tonight at the Rose Wagner Center, beginning at 7:30 p.m.

- At the Main Street Park in Sandy, peep the Sandy Heritage Festival, kicking off at 11 a.m.

- Salt Lake City's hardest and heaviest metal band, Spork, will be onstage at Willie's Lounge tonight at 9 pm.

And finally, Sunday's events

- The reggae artists Easy Star All-Stars will be live at Urban Lounge tonight at 9 p.m.
