Tuesday night, the Utah Film Center is presenting a free screening of Watershed: A New Water Ethic for the New West, with a panel discussion with the film’s creator afterwards.---
The 55-minute documentary takes a look at the threats endangering the West’s great Colorado River and provides solutions to the damming and diversions that threaten to turn the once-mighty river into trickle of its former self. The free event will be followed by a panel discussion including director Mark Decena and Canyonlands Regional Director of the Nature Conservancy Utah Sue Bellagamba.
Check it out, for free, Tuesday, Aug. 28, 7 p.m. at the Salt Lake City Main Library, 210 E. 400 South.
