TV Tonight: Go On, Here Comes Honey Boo Boo

What’s new on the TV-lookee box tonight:

Go On (NBC) Sneak Preview: After the ‘Lympics, it’s a sneak preview of the new fall comedy Go On, starring Matthew Perry as a sports-talk-radio host who loses his wife and goes to therapy. ---To remind you that it’s a comedy, Perry over-acts and desperately tries to Be! Funny! Despite what more than a few TV critics think they saw, it’s depressing as fuck and not even half as funny as Mr. Sunshine—which was no great shakes, either. So why the sneak peek? Apparently, NBC wants as many viewers as possible to get used to not laughing early.

Here Comes Honey Boo Boo (TLC) Series Debut: A Toddlers & Tiaras spin-off about one of the most irritating children ever to be shat out by reality TV, “Honey Boo Boo.” Of course we should be encouraging this …
