Dear GYA, Have you been watching Olympic swimming? It only makes sense that Michael Phelps got a silver medal in the 200 fly because everyone knows that's what happens when you smoke pot. Yeah, if you do marijuana you'll only be the second best in the world and you'll only tie the record for the most Olympic medals ever. What a shame. Anything happening today that doesn't involve cheering for pot heads? -Debbie Derpenstein, Magna---

Debbie,  it sure is a shame. Imagine what he could have accomplished had he not had the munchies for Subway. I guess we'll never know. Here's what's good tonight:

To celebrate what would have been the 70th birthday of Jerry Garcia, head over to Century 16 Theaters for the Grateful Dead Movie Event. The screening will include the 1977 film The Grateful Dead Movie, as well as a special birthday commemoration on Garcia directed by Justin Kreutzmann, featuring the Dead’s Bob Weir. The show starts at 7 p.m.

Iron Maiden and Coheed & Cambria will be performing at the Usana Amphitheater tonight. Though aged, Iron Maiden is still as metal as ever. The Grammy award-wining group is currently on a 33-city tour via the Ed Force One jumbo jet and you know they're packing the traditional skull stage setup. Should be awesome. The show starts at 7:30 p.m.

At Red Butte Garden, check out the Sundance Institute Summer Series: Bones Brigade.  Pack a blanket and a cooler for this free outdoor screening of the 1984 legendarary skateboarding flick featuring Steve Caballero, Tony Hawk, Mike McGill, Lance Mountain, Rodney Mullen, Stacy Peralta and Per Welinde. The show starts at dusk (8:45 - 9 p.m.).

Other worthwhile events happening tonight:

- The Salt Lake Bees will be facing off with the New Orleans Zephyrs at 7:05p.m.

- DF Dance Studios are offering up Beginning Ballroom Lessons at 7 p.m.

- The Big Shiny Geek Show Pub Quiz will be starting up at Luck 13, beginning at 8 p.m.
