The Broadway Across America touring production Million Dollar Quartet hits SLC Tuesday. Get a taste of its music during a free preview at Gateway. ---

Million Dollar Quartet is the story of a legendary real-life "jam session" at Memphis' Sun Records studio that brought Elvis Presley, Carl Perkins, Jerry Lee Lewis and Johnny Cash into the same room. In advance of the opening night, the stars of the show will be performing selected classic tunes from a score that includes "Great Balls of Fire," "Hound Dog," "Folsom Prison Blues" and more during a free show at the Gateway Mall's fountain (400 West between 200 South and South Temple). Showtime is 12:30 p.m.for the approximately 25-minute performance.

If you wind up liking what you see, Million Dollar Quartet plays at the Capitol Theatre May 29 - June 3.
