The 2010 remake of Clash of the Titans got a quickie sequel in Wrath of the Titans, as Perseus (Sam Worthington) gets pulled out of peaceful civilian life when humanity is threatened again by Hades’ (Ralph Fiennes) plan to use Zeus’ (Liam Neeson) energy to free the Titan Kronos. A parade of 3-D silliness ensues, with some interesting, imaginative production design and a few choice moments for the teaming of Fiennes and Neeson. But there’s still too much of the bland Worthington, and an insistence on taking the material far too seriously.
