Dear GYA, Okay, did I write a New York Times op-ed in 2008 entitled "Let Detroit Go Bankrupt?" Yes. Am I gonna take credit for the speedy recovery of the auto-industry? Oh, hell yeah! I'd also like to seize this moment to take credit for the SLC Olympics, Justin Bieber, Crunchy Gorditas and puppies. Anything happening today I could take credit for? -- Mitt Romney---

Mitt, I see what you did there. It's a good move to take credit for things you didn't do. On that note, did you know that I invented double-stuff Oreos, the courtesy flush and the wedgie? Yeah, I've done it all. Anyways, here's what going down today:

The Utah Museum of Contemporary Art will be hosting Mark Hedengren's The Invincibility Fable at 8 p.m. As part of the Local's Only series, Hendengren's spent nearly two years crisscrossing the nation documenting "invincible" cliff jumpers and the culture that inhabits these secluded swimming holes. This exhibit will be shown through August 18th.

For something a little more dark, head over to the House Gallery for Michael Arata's exhibit Remember. This contemporary-art installment is a series of photos of female hairstyles from the '70s without any faces or bodies. Also, it should be known that the subjects for these pics are female murder victims. As unsettling as it seems, it's worth checking out.

The geekiest pub trivia in all the land is going down tonight at Lucky 13. It's called Big Shiny Geek Show Pub Quiz and it's hosted by Big Shiny Robot's editor Bryan Young and The Geek Show Podcast's Shannon Barnsons, so don't expect sci-fi fluff questions like "May the ___ be with you." No, no, your inner nerd will be tested. The games start at 8 p.m.

Some other worthwhile events:

- Kasino Karaoke at Piper Down, beginning at 9 p.m.

- Indie rockers Becoming Everest will be performing at Muse Music at 8 p.m.

- At 9 p.m., check out Brother Chunky's Big Variety Show at The Deerhunter Pub.
