Dear GYA, Who cares if some lady in New Jersey let her 5-year-old daughter use a tanning bed? Seriously, this is New Jersey -- we love to tan! I tan everyday and I know I looks good.--- Look at it this way, it ain't nobody's businesses if that lil' girl wants to resemble an oven-roasted catcher's mitt. The burnt-orange look is hot right now. So, wassup with tonight? - Snooki

Snooki, I think you're right; kids today spend way too much time indoors and are dangerously underexposed to healthy UV rays. Look at you giving all that solid health advice. Here are some things to do today:

Apparently, Lockett Pundt, the lead guitarist for Atlanta-based Deerhunter, can't seem to sit still and is back on tour with his side project Lotus Plaza tonight at Urban Lounge. Their recent 2012 album Spooky Action at a Distance has received a warm reception from critics, therefore expect Lotus Plaza to rock your prescription Ray-Bans off your face. Mirror Lake and Frankie Boyles are also on the bill. Doors open at 9 p.m.

New Jersey stand-up comedian and man with a nice tan Rich Vos will be at Wiseguys Trolley Square tonight at 7 p.m. The funnyman has appeared on NBC's Last Comic Standing, Comedy Central's Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn and he was the only white comedian to appear on Def Comedy Jam. If you can't make it tonight, Vos will also being doing shows on Friday and Saturday.

Tonight at the Rose Wagner Center, don't miss your chance to see Pygmalion Production's debut of In The Next Room (Or, The Vibrator Play) at 7:30 pm. It's the story of an imaginative doctor who invents a revolutionary machine to help sexually repressed women ... a vibrator. Nuff said. Tickets are going from $15-$20. The following is a clip from another production company:

Other worthwhile events today:

- Spork for a Vengeance Tour 2012 at Burt's Tiki Lounge, beginning at  9 p.m.

- Covey Center's (Provo) production of Crossing Delancy will be raising the curtains at 7:30 p.m.

- Cafe Niche will be showing the works of local artists PJ & Sarah Mannion.
