Scene-makers The Moth & The Flame and Desert Noises co-headline the first series show that I’m excited about. Fictionist -- who will be hot off of releasing their first EP on Atlantic -- and The Lower Lights return to the stage after appearing during last year’s inaugural season.
But the show of the year will be the Tom Petty tribute. Similar to the Abbey Road Show (read a feature on local super-group cover bands in 2011 here), there will be a core band with a rotating cast of Utah’s finest singers; but this will be an evening covering a wide swath of singalong from the rock & roll icon, rather than the band performing one album all the way through.
So, here's the lineup. Follow the links to read several City Weekly features about the various bands.
