The classic roots/swamp-rock megastar takes to the road this summer with a stop in Utah on June 21. You might say “The Blue Ridge Rangers Rides Again,” if you were so inclined.---

Fogerty, 66, has released nine solo albums since his split with Credence Clearwater Revival. The span also marked several times where he called it off and then made two comebacks -- the man can’t get enough. Nor can his fans. After the messy break-up and rights disputes, Fogerty refused to play CCR tunes for a length of time. He even refused to play with his old bandmates when inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1993. Aside from the drama, Bruce Springsteen summed up this bard’s rock history farely well during the induction ceremony: "As a songwriter, only a few did as much in three minutes [as John Fogerty]. He was an Old Testament, shaggy-haired prophet, a fatalist; funny, too. He was severe, he was precise, he said what he had to say and he got out of there.”

Fortunately, Fogerty -- you might call him "The Old Man Down the Road" at this point in his career -- is playing his classic CCR tunes again, along with his extensive canon of solo material. Check this legend out at Snow Park Outdoor Amphitheater at Deer Valley Resort. Tickets go on sale Monday, April 2 and are $50 for general admission and $75 for reserved.
