For a state as seemingly bland yet wholesome as wonderbread sacrament, Utah has had a long history of agitating peace activists—and Wednesday, the Utah Valley University Library will be honoring many of them with performances, exhibits and panel discussions.---

Come learn more about some of our red-state rabble-rousers at the UVU Library’s debut Oral History of Utah Peace Activists. The event will include a panel discussion on the amazing case of the Hercules Missile trial that had local peace activists willfully break the law and help put nuclear proliferation on trial in a Utah courtroom, as City Weekly looked at in a recent article.

The celebration will also include a photo exhibit of Utah activists throughout the years, as well as the first joint performance by poets and activists Tim Mason and Alex Caldiero.

Check it out, Wednesday, March 21 from 1—5 p.m. at Utah Valley University, 800 West University Parkway, Orem. For parking directions for the Library, click here.
