The second album-release day of 2012 continues to bring in the new year slowly. But two albums are worth checking out.---

The Little Willies, For the Good Times After seven years, a collection of friends -- led by Norah Jones -- who once decided to find a country muse as an excuse to make music together drops a follow-up effort. For the Good Times is rooted in old-school country, and the album covers many classic cuts, including album highlights “Fist City” by Loretta Lynn, “For The Good Times” by Kris Kristofferson and “Jolene” by Dolly Parton (watch below).

Charlie Haden and Hank Jones, Come Sunday An album recorded just before Jones passed away at 91, Come Sunday is a delicate, yet stunning, take on spirituals. The two virtuosos pluck out the instrumentals on piano (Jones) and upright bass (Haden) in a manner that can be observed on a close, intimate listen but it is still sweeping as background music, preferably on a Sunday.
