I present these Tuesday happenings for your entertainment and enlightenment pleasure.---
Westminster College is hosting a free screening of Boys and Men Healing, a film documenting the impact of sexual abuse on individuals and society in general. It's being presented by the Utah Coalition Against Sexual Assault, Jim Struve, Dare to Dream/Male Survivor.org, Westminster College, Salt Lake City Rape Recovery Center and the Tanner Humanities Center at the University of Utah. Three men tell their stories of survival and recovery and reveal how speaking out helped them heal and reclaim their lives. There will be a Q & A session following the film that will include the film's producer, Simon Weinberg. It starts at 7:30 p.m. at the Vieve Gore Concert Hall on the Westminster campus.
The Woodbury Art Museum at UVU in Orem is hosting a reception for a show called Hidden Voices: Women in Printmaking, starting at 6 p.m. It's free, open to the public and the artists will be on hand to chat about their work.
Here in SLC, the Kayo Gallery has a must-see show with the work of Tony Fitzpatrick, a Chicago-based mixed-media artist who tells the story of America through incisive looks at his hometown.
Bar Deluxe is the place for tunes Tuesday night, thanks to Mansions on the Moon (pictured), who deliver a drone-y brand of electro-pop. The show starts at 9 p.m.
